For Men: Chest, Waist, and Inseam

For Women: Bust, Waist, and Hips

For Children: Height and Waist

Measure around the shoulder blades, under the armpits and over the fullest part of the bust.

Find your natural waistline and measure.

Measure the fullest part of the hip (usually about 7-9 inches below the waist)

Lay out a jacket that fits you best. Lie it flat, with buttons etc, closed.
Measure from armpit to armpit. Double this number to get the chest measurement. (see photo below)
Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding tape firm and level.

Trouser Waist
Open the Trousers and lay the measuring tape all the way around the inside of the waist. Measure only to the button or clasp, not to the edge of the fabric.
Measure around your natural waistline

Inseam --
This is the measurement from the crotch straight down to the end of the leg.

Please note , typically men's inseams are 33". If you require a longer length in trousers than this, the best type of costume for you is anything with Boot Covers. These will make up the length in any costume, as they usually come just above the knee. Please always check that the bootcovers are not attached to the costume, for this to work.
